Mission

Blue Sky Volleyball is dedicated to providing top quality sand tournaments and instruction to sand players in the triangle area. Our club is run by competitive players, and focuses on providing the best experience for all levels of players, from juniors to top open players. We value integrity and sportsmanship above all, and we strive to bring the most competitive players together for competition and training.

We believe that tournament play in small groups, brings the best out of this sport. Our tournaments will be run efficiently, by keeping pools limited to 5 teams/net max. Tournament prizes will consist of cash for open level players, merchandise for all other divisions, and medals for first-third place at juniors tournaments. Tournaments will be run in conjunction with Volley America and USAV and membership in those organizations is required.

Training will be conducted with student to coach ratios limited to 8:1. Our coaches are all competitive sand players and are USAV beach impact certified. Several coaches are also beach CAP certified. Coaches will use focused drills to teach the basic sand concepts and live play to hone player’s competitive skills. We encourage juniors to be their own coach by giving them many tools to work with.
